What is Connector?

Also known as: integration

A connector is the secure link between an AI system and an external tool (like Gmail or GitHub) that lets an agent read from and act on that service.

A connector handles authentication and exposes a service's capabilities as actions an agent can call — read a file, send a message, create an event. It's the bridge between the model's intent and the real world.

In Velaris, connectors feed the capability mesh: once you link Gmail, Drive, GitHub, Calendar or Telegram, their actions become tools your agents can search for and use, with scoped access you control. The Google Workspace connector alone exposes 47 live actions, and the mesh holds 1000+ tools in total.
